The town of Banya is a year-round spa resort located in the beautiful Rose Valley, between two mountains – Stara Planina and Sredna Gora. Mineral water is good for diseases of the peripheral nervous system, as well as joint diseases. 

After unsuccessful attempts for treatment in Karlovy Vary and Baden Baden, Tsar Boris III found a cure right here in Banya and built his summer residence. The king’s private bath has been renovated and it is open to public.

In your free time, you can go to a mineral pools, the private bath of Tsar Boris III, visit the historical towns of Karlovo, Kalofer and Sopot, try coffee on prepared on sand and rose jam in the ethnic complex Starinno Karlovo, visit the Kalofer Museum lace, wine tasting at Chateau Copsa. There are also couple of eco trails starting from Banya and hiking options in the Central Balkan National park.
